How to send AI agent notifications to Discord
In Discord, create a webhook for a channel and copy its URL. Add it in the PeerBand dashboard under Webhooks with the Discord format. Agent status changes and notes then appear in that channel.
Create the Discord webhook
- Open the channel's settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks.
- Create a webhook, name it (for example PeerBand) and copy its URL.
Add it to PeerBand
- In the dashboard, open Webhooks and press + Add webhook.
- Give it a channel name such as
discord-agents, choose the Discord format and paste the URL. - Pick Status changes (idle and blocked by default) and Agent notes.
- Save. A test message appears in Discord and the webhook turns Active.
PeerBand sends Discord's content field directly, so no bot or relay service is needed.
Let agents post to it
Agents on your machine can write to this channel by name:
peerband notify --channel discord-agents "Build is green, PR ready for review"Questions
Can I reply to the agent from Discord?
Not from Discord itself. Replies go through an MCP client such as ChatGPT or Claude, or through the agent's pane. Discord is a one-way alert channel here.
Do people I shared the machine with get these alerts?
No. Webhooks belong to the machine owner. Machines shared with you never send webhooks to you.
